Born and raised in Saint Louis, MO. Graduated in 2005 from Northwestern University with a degree in Social Policy and French. Post-graduation, I taught English in Chartres, France, led high school study abroad programs in Europe and N. Africa and worked as a disaster management consultant to FEMA.
In December 2008 I finished a semester of radio documentary production at the Salt Institute, and headed off to Merida, Venezuela in January 2009 as a Rotary Cultural Ambassadorial Scholar. I studied Spanish, volunteered in the local community and did some radio production and blogging about the experience.
And now?
I’m a “first year” studying international affairs with a focus on journalism and conflict resolution at Columbia University’s School for International and Public Affairs (SIPA). I graduate in May 2011, and job offers are, of course, more than welcome!
